Job Description 3rd Party Production Lead:

Main purpose of the role:

To support development and sustenance of the 3PMs ecosystem (3P production sites) towards supporting the business delivery through timely production and availability of finished goods and repackaged goods at competitive costs while maintaining compliance to all Beiersdorf guidelines and country regulatory, taxation and quality compliances.

Responsibilities (non-conclusive):

- Would be responsible for ensuring the on ground implementation of the contract manufacturing strategies by developing & driving the 3PM partners & ensuring execution of the companys operational plans and servicing requirements through the 3PM network on an ongoing basis.

- Execute detail operational planning & monitor timely procurement of goods (products) from Local as well as outsourced suppliers across the country focusing on-time deliveries, Quality, Service and ensuring that inventory goals are also met.

- Support to develop new 3PM vendors meeting techno-commercial requirements on long term business including evaluation and setting up of new ancillaries / contracted manufacturing facility / dedicated to meet business requirements.

- To continuously support & develop 3PMs towards lean & efficient supply chain with continuous building of a culture of agility, flexibility & efficiency building in operations, quality enhancement & cost benefits.

- To coordinate placement of timely purchase orders on 3PM partners as per procurement policy towards ensuring timely delivery of goods and services as per contractual terms.

- To continuously liase with Mktg, Sales and SCM extended team towards ensuring the 3PM network is geared up towards meeting the new innovations / extensions from a production perspective.

- To maintain good vendor relations and tap for every opportunity to partner with vendors/service providers for mutual growth of business.

- Generation of various MIS/Reports & KPI scorecards on daily, weekly & monthly basis as per agreed timelines with stakeholders.

- Focused approach on Beiersdorf code of conduct adherence by 3PMs.

- Ensuring 3PMs Quality compliance and initiative towards Beiersdorf quality standards along with the quality function.

- Actively participate & support successful coordination with Regional and global 3PM network stakeholders towards ensuring NPIs commercialization, respecification projects, and 3PMs related RM & PM vendors, change event onboarding and approvals, etc.

- Drive strong processes capabilities like TPM, six sigma tools to achieve continuous cost improvements & building agility, efficiency & quality in operations.

- To continuously liase with Tech Dev, Pack Dev, Procurement & Planning to ideate & execute cost saving projects in 3PM operations.

- To guard all regulatory, commercial, taxation, Beiersdorf coc compliance at all 3PMs.

Operational Responsibilities (non-conclusive):

1. Executing un-interrupted OTIF product supply of existing & new products from 3PM manufacturing sites to meet the market requirements on an ongoing basis by

a) Optimization of Production plans, Plant Utilization.

b) Supervising monthly/weekly production plans for all manufacturing plants based on block wise plans basis sales forecast / estimate and requirement furnished by Planning Team.

c) Prioritizing, sequencing and control of production. (Coordinate closely for Peak & lean months to deliver on time in full finished goods as per plan).

d) Machine planning, routing and process planning for new jobs and line balancing.

e) Monitoring and ensuring higher yields from RM/PM usage by the 3PMs.

2. Long term Capacity Planning and optimum utilization of manufacturing facilities in alignment with future / strategic plans for timely & effective supply of existing & new products.

3. Execute successful production trials, quality and production equipment readiness and tests and compliance to Beiersdorf towards commercialization of production of all NPIs linked to local 3PM network.

Salary: INR 6,00,000 - 11,00,000 P.A.
