ABANS Group - Civil Engineer & Facilities Manager (5-8 yrs)
Position: Civil Engineer and Facilities Manager
Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai (Residence of Chairman)
Reports To: Vice President - Facilities Management
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with strong administrative capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of various properties and infrastructure. Additionally, this role involves Facilities Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Civil Engineering Duties:
1. Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed designs for construction projects.
- Create project specifications and ensure they meet required standards and codes.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
2. Project Management:
- Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
3. Construction Supervision:
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control.
- Resolve any design or construction issues that arise.
4. Technical Reporting:
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and metrics.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Administrative Duties:
1. Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Handle client inquiries, provide updates, and manage client expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
2. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records.
- Ensure all documents are properly filed and accessible.
3. Administrative Support:
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and data entry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in an administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and project management.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and office software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously..
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction and civil engineering.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional site visits.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
