AGM - Civil Engineering (12-18 yrs)
JOB ROLE
The incumbent is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management like - Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Oversee the construction project from start to finish
- Experience in High Rise Building construction from concept to commissioning. Minimum criteria could be of projects executed for 30+ floors. Exposure to FIDIC working conditions is preferred.
- Familiar with review and evaluating contractors, shop drawings, plan schedules, contract Administration claim management, coordination with PMCs/consultants.
- Ensuring that project will be completed within schedule time and budget.
- Familiar with QA / QC aspects.
- Should also be conversant with logistics involved in construction of high rise buildings.
- Exposure in civil construction, structural glazing, MEP Services of High Rise Structures is must.
- Should be proactive with High Level of Initiatives to drive the project and lead working team.
- Should be conversant and guide on statutory approval aspects
- Attending the Design Coordination meetings with Consultants and Architects for finalizing DBR- s, BOQ's and Tender drawings.
- Follow up with architects / consultants/Contractors and Vendors for timely delivery of drawings /details and meet the Techno-Commercial aspects.
- Coordinating the project controls for preparing and finalization of Schedule, Budget, Estimates, Man Power Requirements and Material Requirements.
- Coordinating the Contracts Department for finalizing vendors/Award of work by evaluating technical comparisons and queries raised by the Bidders.
- Decision making in progress review meeting's with vendors.
- Following up consultants for required drawings.
- Ensuring QA/QC, certification of Bills.
- Regular monitoring of site progress at site on day to day basis.
- Attend the customization meetings and check the possibilities of changes requested by the client.
- Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
- Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
- Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.
- Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
- Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
- Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
- Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
- Periodic inspection of construction sites.
- Ensure project documents are complete.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
- Review and Finalization of the Tender Document for raising the necessary Purchase Requisition/Contract Requisitions for all the civil related Works.
