Client ( company) is an US conglomerate and is the world's largest producer of Permanently Solid Lubricated HDPE Ducts, Fluid Pipe Systems and Conduits, as well as Power and Gas Ducting solutions. They serve clients in more than 120 countries with manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, Czech Republic, Oman and India.

- In India, they have about 250 employees & has an approx turnover of about 500 cr. They cater to all client's need of SAARC, Middle East and South East Asia. Their clients include telecom carriers, oil & gas and infrastructure/EPC companies. Indian HO is at Delhi & a branch office at Bangalore. Plants are at Neemrana & Goa.

Job Description :

Job Title : AGM - Production

Location : Hyderabad, India

Reporting to : GM - Operations (Plant Head)

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the Plant's extrusion operations, to maximize productivity, uptime, schedule adherence and ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

- Develop complete understanding of all production lines and associated equipment, knowledge of customer products, raw materials, and product characteristics.

- Prepare documentation such as process instructions, work instructions, etc.for training and process control purposes.

- Provide necessary support in developing plant's production schedule.

- Provide input and support to the development of new products and projects.

- Communicate and provide input to maintenance resources for troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.

- Achieve safety excellence through a proactive safety culture.

- Achieve business commitments through control of labor cost, maintenance and consumable raw materials.

- Encourage and support the development of plant employees.

- Participate in process improvement and cost savings efforts.

- Responsible for incorporating GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and lean principles into daily quality culture.

- Continuously improve customer satisfaction through programs to provide on time delivery and meet customer quality and cost expectations.

- Ability to manage an ERP system on the production floor

Education & Work Experience Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline.

- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry. A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.

Occupational & Physical Requirements :

- Experience in a plastics manufacturing facility is mandatory.

- 2+ yrs. experience with a fully integrated ERP manufacturing system

- Excellent working knowledge of successful manufacturing practices, Lean Manufacturing Techniques, and general management principles

- Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.

- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

- Strong reasoning skills, ability to analyze problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

- Understanding of, and commitment to the requirements of maintaining a safe working environment.

- Good judgment and the demonstrated ability to interact with hourly employees, union representatives, co-workers and managers at all levels of the organization, along with external customers, suppliers, and consultants, to solve problems and promote new business & cost reduction opportunities.
