AGM - Purchase & Supply Chain Management - Automotive (13-15 yrs)
AGM-Purchase and Supply Chain :
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for Plant purchase for both direct and indirect (material and service).
- Monthly Purchasing Performance reporting.
- Responsible for preparation and maintaining purchasing budget within company guidelines.
- Negotiation with suppliers for all complex components.
- Achieve cost saving target.
- Coordinate with material planning/operation and ensure availability of material in time and also meet inventory target set by plant.
- Develop and Implement line feeding system for direct parts and packaging for all assembly lines.
- Identify and manage high risk suppliers and work on backup plan.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Ensures that contracts, quote proposals, and supplier agreements for production materials/components follow legal correctness and contain pricing and delivery information that is necessary to conduct business
- Support developing purchasing strategy in conjunction with MPT India and Global commodity teams
- Ensure EHS Legal compliances in purchasing and SCM function.
- Ensure zero accidents / incident in the division
Requirements, Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Over 15 years- experience in purchase, Supplier Quality Management & Supply Chain Management in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of vendor base.
- Strong Knowledge in Development of components in Commodities Aluminium die casting, Powder Metallurgy, Stampings, Machining, Plastic, Rubber, proprietary items
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications along with GD&T
- Knowledge of world-class quality techniques such as: SPC, DOE, QFD, Kaizen, 8D, APQP, PPPA, TPM, Statistical techniques.
- Must have worked at HOD level for atleast 3 years
- Thorough knowledge of Costing, vendor development, global sourcing, Procurement, Contract Management, Product & project costing & Import Export Management.
- Experience in implementing and managing QMS, EMS & OHSAS.
- Ability to prepare quality plan for new product development
- Experience working Multinational Companies environment.
