Purpose of the job:

Quality is one of the foremost requirement to keep our customers engaged. Quality head is expected to drive all quality strategies within the company right from project initiation stage to ensure that we deliver right products to our customers and be successful in our vision of being most preferred suppliers.

Job Description

- Institutionalize philosophy of "zero customer complaint" and "first time right"

- Drive quality culture through out the organization and shift thinking from defect detection to defect prevention

- Reinforce the belief by constant awareness program, carrying out workshop and small group improvement activities.

- Track and monitor quality target vs actual (both internal as well as external metrices). Identify high impact area and work on quality improvement.

- Understand customer specific requirements and disseminate to team members

- Quality planning for new programs, drive PFMEA execution and ensure mitigation plans are in place.

- Develop effective control plans for robust process control and maintain inspection records.

Role accountability :

- Accountable for implementing quality system in the organization with target of zero defect

- Conducts audits and escalate high impact issues immediately for containment and track other open issues till closure.

- Participate in quality planning of new programmes, monitoring of quality metrices during regular production and addressing warrant concerns.

- Have a vision of developing world class quality system in plant

Technical Skills:

- Experience of Plant Quality preferably in Powertrain

- Proficient in quality system requirement of similar industry

- Knows quality tools and techniques and has the knack of addressing emerging issues with utmost speed and efficiency

- Hands on experience in development of PFMEAs, risk mitigation plan and control plans

- Problem solving using data based approach and ability to resolve technical issues with speed.

- Audit skills (Product, processes and Quality System)

- Good comprehension and communication

- Passionate for quality and zero defect mindset

- Proactive approach, good in anticipating issues

- Good interpersonal skills, team player and leader

- Ability to take unfavourable stand also

Qualification- BE Mechanical
