AGM - Supplier Quality (13-20 yrs)
Company Name : Leading Automotive Manufacturing MNC. Company into Construction Equipment / Heavy Earth moving /Manufacturing industry / Automobile / Auto components.
Position : AGM - Supplier Quality
Base location : Pune
Key Responsibilities :
Main Purpose :
- To ensure that the products or services Company India provides are fit for purpose and meet our customer expectations for performance, quality and reliability.
- To liaise with managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Quality Management System is functioning properly; where appropriate, recommending changes and advising on there implementation.
Key Result Areas :
1. Quality :
a. To take the leading role in the development, introduction, improvement of the company's Quality Management System.
b. To promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
c. To ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
d. To agree standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
e. Be responsible for quality, audit and environmental management systems, conformance to established standards (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001 etc.), customer requirements when applicable and regulatory product certification.
f. Continuous analysis of critical quality features, quality audit results, etc. To produce regular reports to management team and promote awareness throughout the plant. To foster a data and analysis driven decision driven process across the plant.
g. To participate in product maintenance, design reviews and engineering changes.
h. To manage customer complaint, team investigations ensuring response is effective and efficient. To identify complaint trends and underlying chronic problems.
i. To work with SDE team and suppliers to develop acceptance criteria of supplied raw materials or services.
2. Cost :
a. To maintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
b. To measure and control the cost of non conforming quality within agreed / targeted.
3. Innovation :
a. To set up and maintain a system of quality controls and documentation.
b. To work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
c. To set up an effective system to follow up the KPI performance of operations.
4. Delivery :
a. To ensure all incoming quality activity is completed in a timely manner which avoids and production disruptions or assembly line stoppages.
b. To ensure all PDI is completed in time for planned machine deliveries to the customer.
c. To ensure business review report completed in time monthly for top management review.
d. To ensure Commend Centre updated in time for top management review.
5. Management :
a. To supervise the daily activities of the quality team.
b. To analyse quality resource requirements, prioritise, establish or adjust work procedures and/or resource schedules in order to meet project objectives and schedules.
c. To measure, collate and analyse performance data and charts against defined parameters, kpi's.
d. To provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
e. Manage the Quality Command Centre document control centre within the facility.
f. To promote a continuous improvement culture through KPIs and team working activities.
g. Department supervisions activities
h. Establish the day-to-day climate of mutual respect and trust needed to maintain healthy employee management relations.
j. Consistently apply the terms of the employment agreement.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills :
Education :
a. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or scientific discipline.
b. Min. 3years experience in a similar position and 14years experience in a quality function, within a manufacturing environment; preferably in the construction or automotive sectors.
c. An in depth knowledge and experienced in the use of quality improvement tools.
d. Sound understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 with the ability to audit all areas of system requirements.
e. Excellent in communication.
