Air Compressor Field Service Engineer/Technician (2-3 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service and Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on air compressors, dryers, and related equipment.
- Conduct site visits to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with air compressor systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
2. - Troubleshooting and Repair:-
- Identify and repair faults on air compressors, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair complex problems.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future equipment failures.
3. - Installation and Commissioning:-
- Install and commission new air compressor systems, ensuring proper setup and configuration.
- Conduct site surveys to determine equipment requirements and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure smooth handovers and start-ups.
4. - Customer Service:-
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Communicate technical information to customers clearly and concisely.
5. - Documentation and Reporting:-
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including work orders, repair reports, and maintenance schedules.
- Submit reports to management on service activities, including customer feedback and equipment performance.
6. - Safety and Quality:-
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain high-quality work standards, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Requirements:-
1. - Education:-
- Diploma /Degree in Mechanical or Electrical, ITI holders
2. - Experience:-
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in air compressor maintenance, repair, and service.
- Experience with various air compressor technologies, including rotary screw, reciprocating, and centrifugal compressors.
3. - Certifications/Licenses:-
- Relevant industry certifications, such as compressor manufacturer training or certifications (e.g., Atlas Copco, Ingersoll-Rand).
4. - Skills:-
- Strong technical knowledge of air compressors, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
5. - Physical Requirements:-
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to customer sites.
- Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with compressed air system design and installation.-
2. Knowledge of industry-specific software (e.g., compressor control systems).-
3. Certifications in safety training, such as OSHA or confined space entry.-
