Analog Layout Engineer (5-10 yrs)
Role and Responsibilities :
- Develop and prepare multi-dimensional layouts and detailed drawings of semiconductor devices based on schematics and related geometry provided by the design engineering team.
- Utilize CAD tools or other computerized equipment for layout design.
- Perform physical verification, including dimension checks, specification documentation, and validation of completed drawings, artwork, or digitized plots.
- Review and validate design layouts and detailed drawings to ensure compliance with design rules.
- Optimize layout area and routing to meet performance, power, and area constraints.
- Collaborate with circuit designers and CAD teams to ensure seamless integration of designs.
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality layout designs while meeting project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience & Education:
- 1-3 years of experience in standard cell layout, analog, mixed-signal, and custom digital block designs in advanced CMOS processes.
- 3-5 years of overall experience in semiconductor layout design.
- Bachelor's (BE) or Master's (MTech) in Electrical, Electronics, or VLSI Engineering.
Technical Skills:
Standard Cell Layout Library Development - Proficient in developing and maintaining multiple standard cell libraries.
Physical Verification - Expertise in performing LVS, DRC, and antenna rule checks to ensure design accuracy.
Layout Fundamentals:
- Electro-migration
- Latch-up
- Coupling
- Crosstalk
- IR-drop
- Parasitic analysis
- Matching and shielding
- Understanding of Circuit Behavior:
- Impact of layout on circuit parameters such as speed, capacitance, power, and area.
Proficiency in EDA Tools :
Cadence Virtuoso - Schematic Editor, Layout L, XL
Mentor Calibre - Verification tools
Device Matching & Reliability Considerations:
- Parasitic analysis
- Electro-migration
- Isolation techniques
Soft Skills & Additional Capabilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills in area, power, and performance optimization.
- Leadership & Mentorship - Ability to guide junior engineers, provide technical support, and review layout designs.
- Team Player - Ability to work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment.

Additional Skills (Preferred):
