Asian Paints - Manager - Projects - Engineering Service Function (10-12 yrs)
Position : Manager - Projects in Engineering Services
Reporting to : Chief Manager - Engineering Services
Eligibility : Experience of at least 10-12 years in the area of Project planning and execution and / or Plant Engineering
Qualification :
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college / university.
- Preferably with PGD course in Project Management or similar field.
- Exposure to TPM initiatives / Energy Management / Automation preferred.
Job purpose :
- Lead Coordination for implementing assigned engineering projects (Greenfield / Brownfield) at various overseas units.
- Implementing productivity improvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Assisting Chief Manager in planning and allocation of resources.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interact with Supply Chain and Plants and prepare Basic engineering document (Project Document) for green-field / brown-field projects.
- As a Lead Coordinator, set expectations for the project and enable site Project Manager to complete project within approved timeline and costs. Coordinate for periodic project reviews.
- Interact closely with project design consultants, local agencies, other domain experts in the function and the site Project manager during detailed engineering and execution phase.
- Establish tracking systems and controls for Project progress, Expenditure and Work Quality.
- Support plants in identifying optimum design and selection of critical processing equipment's. Give recommendations on equipment specifications and techno-commercial comparisons.
- Guide plant team in maintenance of - As Built- documentation and sustenance in - Plant Upkeep- after completion of the project.
- Evaluate new ideas and concepts particularly in the areas of productivity improvement, automation and sustainability and provide customized solutions for implementation.
- Provide inputs for skill development of plant engineering personnel. Develop subordinates to take up higher role.
- Provide expertise and support to the overseas units in implementation of routine Capex, based on one's own technical expertise
- To assist Chief Manager in planning and allocation of resources and driving other initiatives.
