Assistant/Deputy Manager - Health Safety & Environment (4-9 yrs)
1.Developing & implementing the Environment Health & Safety annual plan based on Hitachi Metals, Japan requirement and our scenario.
2. Compliance with RoHS & REACH regulation.
3. Compliance with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 management systems.
4. Environment Legal compliance and Liaising with the Regulatory/Statuary bodies.
5. Implementation of Best safety practices with Kaizen mind.
6. Improvement projects in order to improve the Safety performance of company.
7. Safety Culture Building
8. Implementation of energy efficient practices & continuous working on Co2 reduction activities.
9. Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk assessment of site, new projects/machine and ensure implementation of decided actions. Also monitoring the action effectiveness, taken as control.
10. Contractor safety management thorough work permit system. Ensure KYT (Risk Forecasting training of Job) and ensure the compliance of decided actions.
11. Support other functional deptt eg store/purchase for selection of suitable personal protective equipment.
12. Prepare Annual Safety Audit Schedule (Safety Committee - Zonal, Central), plan audits as per schedule and share the results with management for guidance.
13. Incident Investigation and Root cause identification, suggest actions to the CFT for incident prevention.
14. Organize EHS activities with all team involvement and create awareness through participation. ( eg Safety week, Environment Week etc)
15. Prepare EHS training calendar and impart training to all members from worker to manager. Develop new trainer for effective implementation of training content.
16. Audits Firefighting equipment's installed and proposed latest technology of equipment for installation and monitoring the effectiveness of existing system.
17. Strengthen and develop Fire Fighting and First Aid team for emergency preparedness.
18. Prepare Annual Schedule for Mock Drill based on Emergency preparedness plan. Conduct mock drill and monitor the effectiveness of plan, upgrade if required.
Skill Required :
- Certified Fire Fighter, First Aider.
- Audit handling exposure.
- Knowledge about legal compliances relevant to HSE.
- Good Written & verbal communication in English & Hindi as well.
- Interpersonal Skills.
- Self-Motivated ability to execute in a cost effective manner.
