Assistant Manager - Automobile Parts Design (4-8 yrs)

Essential : B.E/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (NIT or IIT preferred)
Minimum : 80 % marks
Desirable : Project/Training in any of the functional areas of Automobile Suspensions

Minimum : 24 Year(s)

4) Job Role & Responsibilities :
Role :
- To design and evaluate Suspension aggregates like Springs, Dampers, Bushes for 3/4 Wheelers.
- Multibody simulation of suspension for finalizing hard points, considering dynamic performance targets.
- Define component level DVP by calculating the forces and moments on component during various vehicle maneuvers in ADAMS
- 3D Modelling & 2D Drafting.
Responsibilities :
- Design of Parts and Components in Suspension System ensuring manufacturability.
- Release of Designs (3D and/or 2D) for development.
- Co-relation of actual testing on 4 poster, single corner rig and other related test in ADAMS.
- Evaluation of Designed Parts & Systems; and taking counter measures as necessary based on Ride & Handling simulations.
- Timely action based on customer (Internal & External) feedback.
5) Competency Requirements :
Technical/ Functional :
- Good foundation in Mechanics, Machine elements & Vehicle dynamics.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes like Rubber moulding, Casting & Forging
- Exposure to metrology and capable of basic measurements.
Behavioral :
- Initiative, Desire to Learn
- Effective communication
- Ability to work in a team
- Specific expertise required for functional area :
- ADAMS Car : Modelling and hard point finalization
- Unigraphics : Modeling and Assembly modules (CRITICAL)
- Understanding of GD&T principles
- Exposure to relevant design standards. (IS, JIS, JASO, DIN, ISO)
