Assistant Manager (Civil)

- Agreeing project objectives

- Organizing various professional people working on a project

- Carrying out risk assessment, making sure that all the aims of the project are met, making sure the quality standards are met

- Using IT systems to keep track of people and progress

- Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained, overseeing the accounting, costing and billing, etc.

- Proactively monitors projects and reaches out to PMs before they make a request

- Challenges and assists PMs on compliance with HSE and Quality

- Acts as the Project Manager for small projects (e.g. secondments, small design studies)

- Prepare monthly ETC forecasts and schedule updates

- Updates Workforce Planning monthly with ETC data (subject to agreed access)

- Prepare monthly invoicing (chasing Polaris actions, progress and trends)

- Proactively assist PMs on following Jacobs systems as required:

- Develop CDRS and obtain approvals

- Develop PIF and PAP and drive through the approvals

- Polaris, OAR and RevRec activities and reporting (drive continuous improvement)

- Pricing Tool and ETC updates

- Subcontractor management - ProLog (register suppliers, raise POs and processes invoices)

- Salesforce / B&P raising (subject to agreed access)

- Document management

- Scheduling (primarily in MS Project) some APMs have P6 expertise

- Develops Quality Assurance and Inspection Plans

- Assists in preparation of proposals

- Identifies and pursues opportunities for improving processes

- Assists portfolio managers with production of reports, chasing of DPEs and PMs

- Preparation and management of RFI registers

- Preparation and management of Deliverables registers

- Assists the PMs with the management of project risks and opportunities

Qualification And Experience:

i. Diploma or BE Civil with 6-8+ years of Experience working on large scale construction sites, preferably heavy institutional / high rise commercial buildings.

ii. Should have an in depth knowledge of site activities, specifications of jobs, detail mode of measurements, coding knowledge, billings, drawings study and control, auto cad working, MS Office tools, Project Management tools (MS Project).

iii. Should be able to lead a team well and be result oriented. He should have knowledge of using software's to manage complex projects
