Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Purchase & Vendor Development (5-12 yrs)
Job Description :
- Candidate should have either worked with Castings / Forgings, Machined Components commodity.
- Should have a good knowledge of key suppliers in the region.
- Should have knowledge of process costing of casting / Forging.
- Should have the background to suggest process improvements, design changes as required to improve productivity, reduce scrap & reduce lead time in sourcing.
- Good negotiation skills, good at resolving issues directly with suppliers including engaging senior management at supplier when required
- Improve supplier capability
- Responsible for procurement of casting, forging, machined parts as per production plan and tracking and maintaining inventory levels.
- Initiate PO when inventory levels reach reorder stage.
- Work with internal departments to plan for inventory based on sales forecast
- Improve supplier capability by conducting supplier audits, product and process audits, identify non-conformance and propose action plant to prevent reoccurrence.
