Job title & Grade : Asst. Mgr/Dy. Mgr - Tool Room

Reports to : DGM/AGM Operations

Location : Bengaluru

Department : Operations

Role : Managing Tool Room activities

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the team for tool room activities like Design, NPD, Preventive maintenance, cost reduction, spare management, training programs, QMS Documentations, EMS Documentations.

- Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for maintenance and repair work.

- Coordinating with tooling vendors, managing tooling issues, as well as engineering changes and the repair of current production tooling.

- Ensure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced.

- Involving in manufacturing of press tools, check tooling drawings, preparing machining sketches and issuing to suitable machines.

- Support new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production.

- Carrying out the responsibility of handling M/C shop, providing technical guidance to workers for pre-machining of raw material.

- Responsible for regular manufacturing activity of the shop floor, managing manpower allocation, machine scheduling.

- Propose and implement new tooling systems in order to improve machining process in terms of productivity, cost, time and quality.

- Assist in tooling buyoffs and trials.

- Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares to support production activity and customer deadlines.

- Carry out engineering level changes to tools and modifications.

- Record all relevant data in relation to tooling and record on the Tool Room database.

- Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.

- Understand and operate within basic cost/budget measures for tooling.

- Ensure a safe working environment exists for self and colleagues, ensuring all health, safety environmental and quality management procedures are followed and achieve the company's and departmental KPI targets.

- Train people within own work group.

Professional Qualification :

- Knowledge on Tool design & Tool Drawing

- 3D software Tool design

Work Experience : 7- 9 years

Age : 28-36 YEAR

- Position Permanent on a long-term basis
