Position : Assistant Manager - Logistic/Supply Chain
Job Description :

Objectives of the Position :
Effectively and efficiently managing Transportation (all modes & types of TM) & warehousing (all third party warehouses- including shore tanks) operations in the assigned areas in India at all times.
Main Tasks :
- Responsible for managing an efficient and effective Transportation & warehouse operations. The Logistics operations comprise of 3rd party managed warehouses & Transporters.
- Accountable for high standards of performance in all aspects of assigned 3rd party warehouses & Transporters.
- Regular and timely monitoring of Warehousing & Transportation LSP via defined KPIs, analysis of data from SAP system and / or developing / implementing new KPIs relevant to the business. Conduct regular service provider performance reviews.
- Work with Logistics Service Provider to ensure continuous improvement measures are identified and identified leading to higher efficient and effective operations.
- Participate in the LSP identification, evaluation, negotiations and finalization of contracts (new / renewals).
- Plan, execute & monitor surface transportation requirements in the assigned areas in India.
NCM / Exceptions : Investigate all notifications raised against the assigned Warehousing & Transportation LSP in time ensuring customer satisfaction. Further, ensure all exceptions to quality service / delivery are also followed up appropriately.
Safety/Compliance : Ensure high safety/compliance standards are maintained by all service providers at the warehouse at all times. Continuously review the WSA action items with the service providers and ensure timely closure. Conduct internal audits and visits. Ensure license to operate. In addition, also support in closing any RSA related pending action.
Communication : Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders (Business Units, 3rd party LSP, Logistics procurement, Customer Service, Planners etc)
Contribute to overall SCM strategy in India by participating in various initiatives from time to time including but not limited to such as, network optimization, Consolidation opportunities, GST Project, Standard Operating Procedure etc.
- Detail oriented and good analytical skills.
Requirement :
- MBA with a specialization in SCM/OPS or equivalent. APICS, CPIM certification would be preferred.
Experience : More than 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics. Knowledge of Logistics Service Provider (Transportation and Warehousing) Industry, Hand on experience in SAP ( OTC/TM/ SD Modules), Knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation management processes.
- Good Analytical Skills.
Processes :
- Establish and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures in all areas of operations.
- Continuously examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs.
- Optimize transportation and warehousing processes based on market surveys and business feedback to meet customer and company requirements
- To continuously keep abreast of emerging new trends and technologies in the areas of distribution (transportation and warehousing) and leverage them to improve service or efficiency in operations including driving automation.
Experience : 2-3 Years
Education : MBA in Supply chain/operations from Tier 1 or Tier 2 Institutes.
Location : Anywhere in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai
