Assistant Manager - Purchase/Procurement (7-12 yrs)
Role Purpose :
The Assistant Purchasing Manager assists Manager - Purchasing in the vendor selection and management of local and international suppliers; negotiation and execution of key supply contracts; and management of supply risk.
Role Accountabilities :
- Develop, manage and implement strategic sourcing strategies for all materials managed
- Locate, analyse and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future products/services needs
- Negotiate and manage the negotiation of all purchase agreements for key products and services
- Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement
- Develop cross-functional sourcing teams to understand company-wide needs and evaluate suppliers
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments
- Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for the major goods and services procured
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
- Manage supply risk
- Manage a small team
Requirements :
- 7 to 10 years or more years of experience working in purchasing function out of which at least 5 years should be in PEB /Steel fabrication industry
- Bachelors in Engineering is a must with Major in either Mechanical / Production / Civil / Structural / Mechanical or Industrial
