Assistant Manager - Purchase & Stores - Manufacturing Firm (6-10 yrs)
Position: Asst. Manager-Purchase & Stores (Leading MNC Manufacturing Co)
Role:
- Responsible for purchase of raw material and engineering spare parts for the respective unit in accordance with the best practice techniques for efficient time management and ultimate cost reduction while not compromising on Groups EHS standards
- Monthly planning & reporting, exception reports Purchase of indirect materials, contracts, agreements
- Ensuring the Material Masters in system updated.
- Review - POs, Reduction of Lead time, coordination with other depts.
- Oversee Imports formalities & documentation
- Preparation for audits & compliance
- Negotiation with vendor and developing new vendors.
- Effective vendor Management
- Reduction of Inventory with a cost focus
- Coordinate with SCM for Customer Focus pillar in WCM
- Cost optimisation of usages and other spare's inventory.
- Ensuring safe operations of stores activities
- RM Planning & Purchase as per Production forecast.
- MRO Purchase
- Uses of online Auction
- Understanding of payment terms for Exp-LC Payment terms
- Import purchase & Incoterms
- Responsible for P to P (Purchase to Payment)
- Responsible for AMC, ARC &CMC .
- Inventory control RM & SPARES
- Store management - RM & ENGG Spares
Requirements:
- B. Tech / BE( Mechanical / Electrical) plus Diploma in Material Management
- 6-10 yrs of experience and all round functional skills in materials management, good knowledge on GST and related laws.
- Working knowledge of MM Module in SAP
- Leadership Qualities (Both Business & People),
- Self Motivated, Analytical abilities Hardworking,
- Energetic & Proactive & good in interpersonal skills, influencing Skills
