Responsible to design skin care formulations:

- Supervise the batch making and also independently conduct batch making 

- Analyze the batches made for their physico-chemical parameters

- Assess the sensory attributes of new prototype formulations 

- Conduct competition benchmarking 

- Conducts storage stability studies 

- Work closely with Packaging suppliers and take care of pack development and ensure no negative interaction between the formulation and the pack material 

- Compiling the Product Dossier/ Product Information File 

- Generate ideas for effective and consumer-relevant claims on products 

- Develop understanding of the Regulatory and legal guidelines (e.g. BIS Regulations, D&C Act) with respect to ingredients and mandatory details to be disclosed on pack scale up formulation for commercial production

Authority :

- Ensuring procedures and rules pertaining to lab safety & upkeep of lab and equipment's therein

- Ordering of raw materials and pack materials for lab work

Accountability :

- Work with business and generate ideas for experiments, claims, and new formulations

- To monitor the specification of ingredients used in lab batches and compile the specifications of Raw Material, Processing, and Finished Good for scale-up

- To maintain the lab record with all data compiled in an assorted way

- To maintain integrity in compiling data and reporting results

- To ensure Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for every experiment / instrument is written up and kept next to the workstations

- To maintain the inventory of all ingredients required for product batch making

- To get the safety and efficacy tests and also analytical tests done using internal facilities or by liaising with external labs.

Preferred Candidates : Experience in cosmetic industry and BE/B Tech in cosmetics.
