Assistant Manager P&C CGL CRM, TSK (POG) Role for Steel Manufacturing Company.

Job description : 

- The Assistant Manager Shift Galvanized Product Lines is responsible for implementing the processes and tasks on an assigned shift in CGLs and to ensure smooth operations and to complete tasks within established timing, quality, and cost standards.

Administration : 

- Review shift log reports and delay reports.

- Responsible for manpower planning of shift and leave planning.

- Manage crisis like accidents, major breakdown etc. and inform higher authorities.

- Responsible for consequence management recommendation in case of deviation.

People Development : 

- Training and development of sub-ordinates to improve the overall performance.

- Team competency development on Coated defects, source identification, customer specific requirement and customer standards and TQM

- Nominate people for rewards and recognition.

- Ensure and maintain discipline in the shop-floor, pulpit and inspection station.

Improvement initiatives : 

- Responsible for initiating and monitoring improvement activities, daily management and SGA in CGL.

- Implementation of benchmark key performance indicators and best practices

Safety and Environment : 

- Formulating Safety plan and implementing the same to ensure zero harm to human and equipment in shift.

- Ensure 5S of CGL section.

- Ensure the fitness of tools & tackles required for CGL shift operations.

- Making & review of SOP, Risk register and PSRM documents, and timely revision and modification of these documents.

- Counselling of operations on behavioural safety in shift.

- Ensure implementation of Environment Management plan and waste disposal system for safe,adequate and timely removal of waste.

- Ensure contractor#s safety management in shift.

Production : 

- Plan and meet shift production targets with quality as per customer requirement and compliance to ABP in shift.

- Analysis of delays, breakdowns related to operational issues and implementation of CAPA/CAR in shift.

- Close co-ordination with up/down steam processes and supporting agencies in shift.

- Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and increase the productivity of CGL in shift.

- Shutdown job planning and execution. Monitoring the shutdown activities and ensure the timely start-up after shutdown.

- Preparation, documentation and implementation of Quality Systems and standards-

- Involvement and implementation of TQM and continuous improvement processes.

- Preparation and implementation of FMEA/ control plan as per standards.

- Develop, implement and sustain the daily management practice at CGL.

- Preparation and implementation of Strip path management for CGL.

- Defects analysis and corrective and preventive action for CGL defects.

Contract and cost control : 

- Monitoring, review and improve the contractual work in the shift.

- Monitor and control the cost of operation and plan to reduce the wastage

Minimum Qualification : Full Time B.E/ B. Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics from a recognized institute.

Skills : 

- Knowledge on Galvanizing processes & Cold Rolling, Safety standards, SAP, TQM, TPM tools and processes, Quality Assurance
