Assistant Manager - Suppliers (5-10 yrs)
1. Responsible for Supplier Identification, Audits & development of products based on the specification provided. Develop quality parts in optimum cost with suppliers.
2. Work closely with internal CFT (Design, Projects, Supplier Management, product team and Finance) and provide necessary information relevant to the individual projects
3. Monitor various developments in Ceiling Fan industry both in India and globally and update the management on regular basis
4. Identify, finalize supplier set and execute NDA for potential new suppliers. Send out RFQ with relevant technical and commercial information
5. To Coordinate with suppliers to meet drawing and technical requirements and ensure timely development of new sources for new parts and existing parts.
6. Interface with Design team on technical feasibility of specifications
7. Compare quotations from suppliers. Develop negotiation strategy in consultation with Product/Design Head. Finalize part cost, tooling cost/development cost and commercial terms & conditions with suppliers
8. Propose suitable supplier to the management for awarding of business based on quote comparison and negotiations and take approval
9. Release Letter of Intent/ Development agreement/Letter of Nomination /Purchase Orders after due approval, as applicable
10. Settle raw material compensation to the suppliers based on market trend
11. Responsible to drive cost innovation projects to achieve the cost saving targets
12. To drive supplier improvement initiatives to gain benefits of cost, Quality, and delivery
13. Supports project management efforts during the proposal and order processing stages
14. Evaluates supplier performance and participates in continuous improvement efforts with suppliers
15. To comply with ISO 9001 & EMS requirements
16. Negotiate long terms agreements with suppliers
17. Manage supplier relationship
