JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title - Assistant Manager - Procurement/ Purchase / SCM / Project management/ Expediting

Reporting - Head - SCM

Job Location - Chennai

Position Summary: This position will work closely with variousstakeholdersin Commercial, Residential Rooftop Solar Business fortimely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery. Thisrole will assistin all demand planning dutiesincluding estimating future product demand, analysing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.

Objective of this Role include:

1. Releasing the purchase orders and work orders within the TAT so that the project deadlines are met.

2. Expediting the PO's regularly to deliver as per the committed schedule and co-ordinate with the logistics and warehouse team for the timely dispatch & the goods receipt.

3. Develop new strategic vendors to bring down the cost and lead time, increase the quality & service support.

4. Co-ordinating with Project Management, Field Operations, Warehouse & Logistics team members to ensure their concerns are addressed on top priority

Position Responsibility

1. Maintaining strong and positive relationships with suppliers and have excellent negotiation skills.

2. Price Negotiations, Should costing of the materials, supplier's contracts and legal agreements with manufacturers/ agents/ Vendors.

3. Ensuring highest quality product for possible cost.

4. Evaluating Quotations, interview the recommend suppliers considering price, delivery, past performance.

5. Verify Finalize and review and purchase order copy, Invoice to determine major buyouts and filling of all other documents from the vendors and resolving any invoice problems with vendors.

6. Maintaining Books for in and out flow of tools/equipment which are purchased.

7. Process purchase orders, requisitions and other purchasing documentsfor the purchase of material tools and equipment.

8. Schedule and coordinate delivery of material and equipment.

9. Schedule Project Procurement plan in conjunction with management.

10. Review and approve invoice and coordinate and resolve any problem with vendors or contractors.

11. Project Cost Estimation, Schedule, documentation, tendering, permissions and approval.

12. Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash- flow management.

13. Follow-up invoice payments and resolving upheld paymentissues.

14. Building Consensus and relationships among managers, partners and employees.

Academic qualification: An Engineer with Electrical or related fields

Experience: Relevant experience in the field ofsupply chain with experience range of 5-9 yrs

Desired Technical Skills: Solar BOS items, Cables and accessories, Distribution boxes, Fasteners, Handrails, Walkways

Desired Soft Skills:

1. Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills

2. Excellent attention to detail, maths, and multi-tasking skills

3. Solid understanding of inventory management and demand planning management practices and procedures

4. Forecasting, prediction and planning experience

5. Proficientin Microsoft Excel and any other ERP software such as Tally

Language Proficiency: English is must and Hindi is desirables
