Job Summary : As part of the strategic initiative, Global Delivery Center (GDC) organization has been established in India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of offices around the world. At present, GDC has a core team of 70+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design, located in Gurgaon, India. Further growth is underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end of FY16, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines. In the initial phases of growth, dedicated teams are formed to cater to the needs of UAE and UK offices - .

- The purpose of this position is to lead the respective engineering design, documentation and contract administration work as agreed with the GDC Lead or UK HOD.

- To undertake the role of a lead engineer to guide and direct the team to successfully design and deliver the project to clients satisfaction, within the given time and available resources.

Minimum Requirements : Project Duties

- Co-ordinates and manages project teams

- Serves as discipline Lead engineer on mid-to large- size projects

- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise

- Approves and signs off on work

- Provide extensive technical expertise and leadership for all relevant activities to ensure successful

- delivery of projects within time, quality, cost and client expectations.

- Provides complex technical design solutions

- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by design team

- Participates in development of staff technical skills

- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and oversees technical resources to meet requirements on large projects

- Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.

- Assess if targets have been achieved and determine where improvements could be made to increase efficiency.

- Coordination with other GDC Discipline Principals as applicable for the continuity of the design projects.

Administration Duties

Provide mentoring and career development to staff that they work with.

Implement business management systems.

Work assignment, resource management.

Participation in senior staff meetings.

Review & approval of timesheets.

Quality, OH&S and Corporate Standards

Maintain quality of work by:

Ensuring adherence to Corporate Standards.

Ensuring that all activities are performed in a safe manner and comply to Organization OH&S requirements.

Ensuring the relevant QA procedures are followed.

Lay down precise information to design team about work scope from the Principal Engineer and get it mutually agreed.

Contribute to completion of design tasks and project delivery at satisfactory level through being responsive in a timely and effective manner to any design and project requirements.
