Associate Manager - Mechanical - People Management (7-11 yrs)
Responsibilities and duties :
- The incumbent will actively contribute towards knee & hip product remediation. Interfaces with divisional counterparts in US and elsewhere to define project timelines and establish a good tracking mechanism.
- Interface with Operations, Materials, Sterility, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality and Suppliers to establish correct requirements for product design and development.
- Work with divisional counterparts to establish the communication plan with different departments, follow-up with stakeholders to complete the project within timelines, resolve any pending issues
Experience/skills required :
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in below mentioned area
- Product Design & development of structural components.
- Understanding of regulations applicable to devices, particularly standards.
- Knowledge of material selection, International standards, and norms.
- Proficient in Pro-E, GD&T.
- Knowledge of FEA, Welding, Marking Methods like Laser marking, Engraving, Stamping, Silk screening, etc.
- Good experience in dFMEA, DFM, Basic GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up.
- Concept design and development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, ECN Process, Design Verification and Validation, Design and Risk Management documents, Excellent analytical skills, Effective interpersonal communications skills.
- Blueprint/Engineering schematic reading and interpretation.
- Basic inspection techniques, Certified Basic GD&T professional, US FDA quality regulations 21CFR part 820, ISO 13485 standards, NC/CAPA process, trackwise and windchill knowledge, inspection methods.
- Responsible for the timely and quality deliveries of the assigned tasks.
- Work as point of contact for all project related aspects with the stakeholders.
- Ensure continual improvement in customer satisfaction, delivering higher value services and productivity.
- Manage partnerships with vendors and other SME's as needed.
- Manage knowledge at various spectrums appropriately to avoid losing it and help newcomers pick it up fast.
- Contribute to absorption of new technologies, processes and methods.
- Develop an open culture to instill confidence, diversity of perspectives and knowledge sharing.
- Develop an environment to focus on customer needs.
- Communicating frequently across all project stakeholders to ensure project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
