We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our organization and contribute to our growth and success. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity within the construction and pre-fabrication industry. In addition to your primary responsibilities, this role offers the potential for growth into the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position as the company expands.

Responsibilities :

1. Design and develop automation strategies and systems to optimize construction and pre-fabrication processes.

2. Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for automation, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency.

3. Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and improved productivity.

4. Develop and implement automated solutions, including robotics, IoT devices, and software applications.

5. Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments for automation projects.

6. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to implement automation technologies and ensure seamless integration.

7. Create and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, system configurations, and operating procedures.

8. Monitor and troubleshoot automation systems to ensure proper functioning and identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.

9. Stay updated with the latest automation technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

10. Train and support end-users on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.

Potential Growth Responsibilities (as CTO) :

1. Lead the technology strategy and roadmap, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.

2. Manage a team of technology professionals and provide guidance and mentorship.

3. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive business growth and innovation.

4. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance the company's competitive edge.

5. Establish and enforce technology standards, policies, and procedures.

6. Oversee the cybersecurity and data protection measures to safeguard company information and systems.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.

8. Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, partners, and industry experts.

9. Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of technology.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role, preferably within the construction or pre-fabrication industry.

3. Strong knowledge of automation technologies, such as robotics, IoT, PLC, SCADA, and software applications.

4. Proficiency in programming languages and scripting (e.g., Python, C++, Java).

5. Experience with automation tools and platforms.

6. Solid understanding of construction and pre-fabrication processes and workflows.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.

8. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results.

9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

10. Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to grow into a CTO role.
