Automotive Embedded Hardware Designer - AC/DC (12-15 yrs)
- Automotive embedded hardware designer.
Position Summary :
- Will be working as Sr. Hardware Design Engineer/Associate
- Architect on automotive embedded hardware products.
Required Experience :
- BE/ME/ M.Tech in Electronics Engineering with 10 to 12 years of relevent experience in Automotive embedded hardware designing (Knowledge on ADAS based projects is a added advantage).
Key Responsibility :
1) Understanding customer requirements and coming up with a detailed requirement document. Should proactively interacting with overseas customers and understand the requirements of the tasks need to be carried out.
2) Well-versed in schematic capture, PCB layout review and PCB designing (Optional, is an added advantage), also should be able to independently drive the resources working on PCB designs and able to address any technical challenges in the design.
3) Expert in preparing engineering documents like Test plan, Test report, preparing presentations to convey the technical details related to Project progress and generating ECO & ECR's etc.
4) Expertise in generating EBOM's with its variants, knowledge of different electronic/electrical components its parameters and obsolescence management, cost reduction ideas and managing them in relevant Database, which needs awareness of working with PLM tools.
5) Working closely with cross-functional team to achieve assigned project/activity targets within limits of time, cost and quality.
6) Well-versed in board bring-up activities, testing and debugging boards received from counter part or newly manufactured boards.
7) Understand the manufacturing issues and there requirements and contribute in improving the Process.
Technical Skills required (Must) :
1) Hands on experience in Analog, Digital, mixed signal circuit design, development, testing. Mainly into automotive digital circuit designing.
2) Good working knowledge on Microcontrollers and microprocessors based system designing and SOC (FPGA or any other) based architecture designing.
3) Good working experience in preparing/deriving circuit related analysis documents like WCCA, DFMEA and VAVE etc.
4) Experience in understanding EMC/EMI issues, debug and provide solutions .
5) Good working Knowledge in analog circuit simulations.
6) Very good at Schematic entry and PCB layout review and provide directions to layout engineer.
7) Should have good technical & working knowledge in highspeed interfaces - DDR3/4/5, CSI2 (FPD Link 3/4), Automotive Ethernet 100/1000T1 and Ethernet 100/1000T, PCI & PCIe.
8) Working knowledge in Communication protocols like I2C, SPI, USB, LIN and CAN-FD.
9) Should be able to carry out product testing for environmental and certification test standards.
10) Experienced in using common lab equipment's like Precision DMM- s, High frequency DSO's logic analyzers and should have soldering knowledge on basic components like SMD resistors, capacitors etc.
11) Should have hands-on experience in the Industry standard tools usage:
a. Schematics capture & PCB designing - Altium designer 22+
b. Circuit simulation - LT spice, Saber or equivalent
c. DFMEA - Madini (optional, is an added advantage)
Soft skills required: Should have go-getter attitude; Willing to take accountability and ownership of assigned task & Ability to work with minimal supervision; Good presentation and communication skills - verbal & written; Experience in working with cross functional and multi-site project teams.
