Our client is a global consulting firm. They are working on a growth strategy project with an Indian automotive player. The automotive player has recently launched a bootstrapped venture with a vision to provide a full stack of trusted mobility solutions to Indian car owners. It has started testing out operations in Gurgaon with the offering of periodic services to vehicle owners out of their OEM warranty. The venture plans to expand product lines into the minor repairs and accessories segments in the subsequent quarters.

They are currently looking to onboard an Automotive Expert to join the case team. They are looking for a senior professional who is familiar with the existing ecosystem of solutions (equipment/tools) for complete vehicle service and repair activities.

As an Automotive Expert, the key responsibilities will be to:

- Re-skill and upskill the hired mechanics on technical knowledge and SOP for doorstep car service

- On-site audit of mechanics on an ad-hoc basis

- Assist mechanics virtually or on-site in case they are stuck in the middle of a car service (ex. Broken wheel nut etc.), and for diagnosis (abnormal noise, vibration, etc.)

- Evaluate & audit Multi brand garages (MBG) for passing on leads related to AC servicing, clutch replacement, gearbox O/H, and other major repairs

- Assist in the co-creation of specialized tools and equipment for doorstep servicing

- Evaluate and rate the identified mechanics on the following:

- Knowledge of activities/jobs involved in car servicing

- Knowledge of the right tools required for each activity/job

- Speed of execution of each activity/job

- Knowledge level of major repairs

Key skills required :

- Minimum ITI/Polytechnic/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile mainstreams

- Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive industry

This is a part-time opportunity and requires the expert to support the case team for up to 40 hours every month. The expert will be required to support in a hybrid setup - working remotely and occasionally supporting onsite in Gurgaon. The duration of the project will be 5 months.
