Automotive Technician - Vehicle Repair Service (3-12 yrs)
An upcoming state of art garage in Qatar is looking out for Automotive Technicians with a minimum of 3 yrs in luxury cars. The detailed JD is as below:
AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN :
JOB SUMMARY : Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining European vehicles.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Thorough working knowledge on diagnosing & programming of European vehicles.
- Inspecting and testing vehicles and completing preventive maintenance.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; AC repair works; replacing parts and components.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs in the software.
- Keeps garage equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
- Maintains the work area clean and tidy while working.
- Accomplishes and maintains the organization's mission by completing related results as needed.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of experience in the European car segment as a service technician
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- High energy level
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate all auto repair tools
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a must
