Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Aviation Specialist - Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Chennai. As an integral part of our aviation operations, the ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in various aspects of aviation, including but not limited to aircraft operations, regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation systems, procedures, and technologies to provide effective guidance and support to our team.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all aviation-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and assistance to internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on aviation industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to ensure compliance and optimize operational efficiency.

- Develop and implement standardized procedures and protocols for aviation operations, safety, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address aviation-related challenges, offering strategic recommendations and solutions to enhance overall performance.

- Lead training sessions and workshops for aviation personnel to promote continuous learning and development and ensure proficiency in operational procedures and safety protocols.

- Oversee aircraft maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, repairs, and maintenance checks, to uphold the highest standards of safety and airworthiness.

- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and external agencies to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and certifications for aviation operations, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations.

- Provide technical expertise and support for aircraft procurement and fleet management activities, including evaluation, selection, and negotiation with suppliers and vendors.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of aviation operations and identify areas for improvement.

- Stay informed about industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in aviation management to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in aviation operations, with a focus on aircraft management, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including but not limited to FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations, ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards, and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) directives.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing aviation safety programs, procedures, and policies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets and regulatory documents to make informed decisions and recommendations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex aviation projects from inception to completion.

- Proficiency in aviation management software and tools, such as aviation maintenance management systems (AMMS), flight operations software, and regulatory compliance platforms.

- Certification as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), or other relevant aviation certifications/licenses preferred.

- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence, with a passion for aviation and a drive to continuously improve operational performance.
