AVP - Architect - Hospital (8-10 yrs)
Job Title:
Senior Associate/ AVP- Experience in Hospitals, Logistic Parks, and Data Centres preferred
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented, experienced, and dynamic Senior Architect preferably with a specialized focus on designing and planning data centres, logistics facilities, and hospitals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique requirements and challenges associated with these sectors. The role involves working on feasibility studies, conceptualizing the architecture designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and efficient real estate solutions as per the business plan.
Education Requirements: B.Arch/ M.Arch
Work Experience Requirements: Overall, 8 to 10 years of experience of architecture designing and design management, minimum 2 years in healthcare. Preferably worked on Data Centre and Logistics projects.
Key Responsibilities:
A.Feasibility, Master planning & Design
- Carry out land due-diligence and provide project feasibility reports, identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the master planning and design process for healthcare facilities including hospitals ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Lead the master planning and design and planning process for data centre facilities and logistics parks, including layout, space allocation, and infrastructure systems, to meet the specific needs of clients and project requirements.
- Create the area program for new projects and develop the specifications and development guidelines.
- Participate in the preparation of business cases and provide the technical inputs.
- Ability to capture the business requirements and transform ideas and inputs into drawings and designs.
B.Code Compliance:
- Stay abreast of local, state, and other regulations related to healthcare facility design and ensure that all designs comply with building codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant standards.
- Stay abreast of local, state, and international regulations and codes related to data centre construction and design. Ensure that all designs comply with relevant standards.
C.Space Planning:
- Develop efficient and functional space plans that optimize patient flow, staff workflows, and the overall functionality of healthcare spaces.
- Develop space-efficient and scalable layouts that accommodate server racks, networking equipment, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure components.
D.Technical Expertise & Project Management
- Utilize advanced knowledge of architectural principles, materials, and construction techniques to create designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also technically feasible and sustainable.
- Manage and coordinate the architectural aspects projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing construction activities. Facilitate the development team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Stay informed about the latest technologies and trends in, ensuring that designs incorporate cutting-edge solutions.
- Prepare/ review and approve Design Basis Report (DBR)
- Prepare/ review concept, preliminary and detailed designs together with Tender and Contract documents.
- Coordinate with Client and third parties, engineering calculations, plans, design, and layout, project specifications
- Direct architect/consultants and D&B contractors for design development and manage complete design delivery in line with project programme.
- Working Drawings, Coordination with different consultancies, Approval Drawings, Handling client meetings.
- Responsible for the Development of Conceptual and Presentation drawings, Schematic Sketch Planning, Working on detail drawings and coordination from Services consultants and Site coordination with Site visits
- Create the area program for new projects and develop the development guidelines.
- Participate in the preparation of business cases and provide the technical inputs.
- Develop operational KPIs and provide inputs if needed for projects in tendering stage.
- Ability to capture the business requirements and transform ideas and inputs into drawings and designs.
- Review of design submitted by external architects or D&B contractors and provide constructive feedback and approvals.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Provide technical support to the execution team at project site.
- Review and answer design RFI from design office or by liaising with design consultants.
- Assessing the usability, environmental impact, and safety of a design
E. Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including interior designers, engineers, domain experts, healthcare/ IT professionals, project managers, contractors, to integrate various perspectives into cohesive design solutions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients/ investors to understand their unique needs, and communicate design concepts effectively. Present and articulate design proposals to clients and project stakeholders.
F. Innovation:
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare architecture. Integrate innovative and evidence-based design concepts to enhance the quality of healthcare environments.
Key Behavioural Capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands on experience of using Auto Cad, design software- Revit/ Archicad and/or BIM
- Attention to detail and agile mindset.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently without supervision and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
