Contract Logistics Manager Job Purpose : Develop New Business, Acquire new Businesses, Achieve Sales Targets and Margin, Understanding of complete Warehouse Operation Management, Programme Management, Financial Management and costing, Primary and Secondary Distribution and solutions, Understanding of Customer's requirements and giving solutions to Customers, Knowledge of In-Plant Logistics and warehousing ; improving operations; managing staff.
Contract Logistics Manager Job Duties :
- Developing and Acquiring New Businesses
- Achieving Sales Targets and Margins as per Management directions
- Understanding of Customer's requirements and giving solutions to Customers
- Understanding of Primary and Secondary Distribution and solutions
- Understanding of C&F Business
- Understating of complete Financial Management and costings
- Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer- service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
- Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
- Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures; coordinating patrols with security department.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes warehouse operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Plan, develop, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the operations and budget of warehousing facilities
- Plan, develop, and implement warehouse health and safety, and security programs and activities
- Develop warehouse operations policies and procedures and communicate this information to staff
- Develop and implement profit improvement plans and change management plans
- Direct and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within the warehouse operations department
- Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the warehouse operations
- Remain current with latest warehouse operations technology systems and procedures
- Plan, organize and direct warehousing related administrative services such as signage, clea inspections, parking, and snow removal
- Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate construction projects to modify warehousing facilities
- Perform day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork
- Prepare or direct preparation of correspondence, reports, statistics related to the warehouse operations, maintenance, and safety manuals
- Interview, select, coach, train, manage, and appraise the performance of warehouse
- Mentor select warehousing operations staff
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships
- Problem solve, negotiate, and address staff challenges
- Confer with department supervisors to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production,
- Review contracts, invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to esti assignments
