Job description

Roles and Responsibilities : 

- Design the instrumentation and control system of process equipment for quotes and projects

- Interpretation of the specifications and utilizing it in the quotation and projects. This includes, but is not limited to, the selection of type, material, size, and feasibility of purchase with respect to the company standards and customer requirement.

- Preparation and review of instrumentation bill of materials for quotes and projects.

- Responsible for the project instrumentation within the budgeted cost.

- Checking the fabrication drawing where instrumentation is involved.

- Assist the CAD designing team in preparing instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, wiring drawings, hook-up drawings and other related drawings.

- Responsible for electrical engineering especially regarding motors, pumps, distribution boards, transformers, heat tracing, cable sizing, lighting etc.

- Preparation of general arrangement, single line, electrical load list and schematics drawings for low voltage switchboards as per tender documents.

- Preparation of BOM/BOQ at pre-tendering stage and engineering drawings after receipt of order.

- Preparing response to technical queries raised by the bid evaluator during evaluation stage of a tender bid.

- Closing technical issues raised by the end user if any, during engineering stage post order.

- Oil and Gas Process equipment's commissioning & start-up experience.

- Responsible for implementing QMS procedure & maintaining related documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Sizing and selection of Flow meters, Control Valves & Relief Valves.

- Familiar with all applicable instrumentation international codes & standards (ISA / API)

- Familiar with Technical/Functional Specifications and Data Sheets for Control Systems, field instruments (Transmitters / Gauges), Analysers, Shutdown Valves, ESDVs, Cables & other bulk materials etc.

- Familiar with all Instrumentation drawings, Loop diagrams, block diagrams, layouts, JB wirings etc.

- Familiar with Cause & Effects, Control Philosophy and Alarm & Trip Schedules.

- Familiar with P&ID, Control System General Arrangements, Control System Architecture / Power distribution and wiring diagram/ Drawings.

- Familiar with HAZOP / SIL Studies.

- Familiar with Electrical activities Load List / SLD/ Electrical Cable / Distribution board / Lighting / Motors / MCC / Local Control Panel.

- Familiar with INTRUCALC, SPI (INTOOLS).

- Work from office

- Fluent English written and spoken.

- Excellent communication, written, credibility & presentation skills.

- Willing to travel overseas.

- Follow the processes and policies as per company norms.
