Job Description :

The BTS repair technician will carry out Repair and test activities for the specific field- BTS (2G, 3G and 4G) and Microwave

The Repair technician will be responsible for :

- To undertake component level of repairs for Analog, Digital and RF PCBAs and Modules

- To carry out testing and diagnostic of RF and Digital modules in the test bed

- To prepare documentation such as schematic and testing procedure for PCBAs and Modules

- Devise a method to test and repair PCBAs/Modules for which no technical information available

- To ensure that repairs are carried out as per set quality standards

Experience :

- Approximately 2 to 3 years- experience in component level repairs of BTS products

- Sound hands-on knowledge in the following areas :

- Component level repair and Testing of Telecommunications Products with specialization in: Microwave/GSM BSS/Switching/Transmission and Access PDH MW, SDH, Switch cards and GSM modules

- Good knowledge of the Telecommunication products

- Should possess a good understanding of basic electronic theory and an awareness of the latest product technology specially in Telecommunication field

- Knowledge of firmware and telecom operating software

- Knowledge of Q&A standards and processes

- Knowledge of maintenance and sustenance of telecom products

Key Skills :

- Ability to develop and perform repair and test procedures for communications products, components, equipment, and systems

- Excellent troubleshooting / RCA Ability with a practical approach

- Ability to operate/test a variety of Test Equipment used for repair and testing.

- Ability to decipher wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for repair and testing of electronics units

- Ability to relate the functionalities of electronic product to its schematic and block diagrams

- A good understanding of technical documents to identify electronic components

- Ability to set, measure and calibrate electronic equipment such as oscilloscope, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Power meters etc.

- Very good Working skills on Soldering and de soldering of pin through hole, SMD and RF/Microwave components. Experience on BGA rework station will be an added advantage

- Working Knowledge on Programming devices such as XJTAG, EEPROMs, FPGA, CPLDs, PALs, Microcontroller etc
