Buyer - Commodity (3-7 yrs)
This role involves collaborating with global and regional teams to drive strategic purchasing initiatives and ensure the efficient, sustainable, and innovative management of the supply chain. This is a key role in selecting and developing suppliers aligning with organization policies and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Implement segment strategies through supplier selection, focusing on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management .
- Contractual Assurance: Secure sourcing outcomes contractually, ensuring all contracts are approved and signed.
- Business Planning: Actively contribute to the development of global and regional business plans for your segment, ensuring alignment with strategic purchasing goals.
- Cost and KPI Management: Drive cost reduction activities with suppliers, ensuring adherence to commercial targets. Maintain and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Negotiation and Risk Management: Manage supplier negotiations, handle contract adjustments, and ensure project targets are met. Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the supplier base.
- Data and Process Management: Ensure accuracy in supplier classification, payment terms, currency terms, and adherence to group policies. Perform updates on supplier data as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a main point of contact for local and regional stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration across various business functions.
- Project Leadership: Lead review meetings with suppliers and stakeholders, manage purchasing projects, and oversee new vendor onboarding through supplier evaluation.
- Transformation Initiatives: Scout and implement transformation initiatives including new technologies, business models, sustainability projects, and digitalization efforts to continuously improve purchasing processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering, or a related field in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience: 3-5 years in indirect purchasing, with experience in construction renovation, capital expenditures, and investment purchases.
