Buyer - Pharma/Beauty Industry (3-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Adherence to negotiated favorable terms, pricing and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Onboard new suppliers, ensuring smooth integration into the procurement process.
2. Procurement and Purchase Order Management:
- Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor purchase order status and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt and storage of products.
- Calculating and managing lead times to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needs.
- Implement inventory control strategies to minimize excess stock and avoid shortages.
- Analyze sales data to forecast future demand and optimize purchasing decisions. -
4. Cost Control and Optimization:
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Monitor market trends and identify potential cost-saving initiatives.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Conduct quality inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high product standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or buying, preferably in the beauty industry.
- Strong understanding of the beauty industry, including product trends, brands, and suppliers.
