Buyer - Procurement (5-7 yrs)

Job Description:
- We are looking for an experienced, self-starting professional to work closely with the Senior Manager and Director of Procurement on sourcing and purchasing initiatives
- The buyer should have significant experience in international procurement and have strong understanding of a procurement lifecycle including renewals/extensions. They are an experienced buyer and Supply Chain professional and will have a track record of providing best-practice contract lifecycle management and creating effective and lasting vendor relationships via similar best practice vendor performance management programs.
- Your background will include the purchasing of multiple services and software across a variety of categories, you will have the ability to work on your own but with the understanding of working with global colleagues. Using your solid expertise, you will lead on various initiatives, delivering exceptional levels of customer service, adding value and driving and realizing savings. As you will be part of a small team, there will be a need to participate and work on other projects / issues as become necessary from time-to-time.
- This is a hands-on role, with the ability to turn your hand to numerous tasks, as well as being able to function with the minimum of supervision.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform contract reviews and renewals
- Review Master Service Agreements, Statement of Works and other contract documents, ensuring compliance, legal, privacy and security are considered.
- Partnering with the Business, and Law and Finance Departments to ensure successful negotiations, resulting in effective agreements which have properly mitigated risk, established performance metrics.
- Contribute to procurement initiatives in line with the strategic sourcing team
- Identify, implement and lead cost reduction, avoidance and process improvement initiatives
- You- ll be responsible for developing successful collaborative relationships with key partners and suppliers to enable delivery of significant tangible business benefits for both parties.
Essential skills/knowledge:
- 5+ years' experience as a Procurement experience working within Procurement.
- Experience working globally
- Strong negotiation skills
- An ability and desire to drive increased value from vendor(s)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross functionally across global teams, across all levels of management
- Ability to handle multiple projects and complete deals within defined deadlines and short lead times, while partnering with other Team members to meet demand
- Results focused professional with the ability to lead and own, with little day-to-day supervision.
- Strong working understanding of and experience in contract law, and negotiations in both Legal and Business terms in Legal Agreements
- Use of Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement
- Analytical, numerate and organized individual who can use data in a meaningful way to drive change, compliance, performance and value improvements.
