CAD Designer - Jewelry (2-4 yrs)
Job description is as under:
a) Collect the rough designs from the designer, merchandiser to render using the CAD software.
b) Needs to be proficient in manufacturing process of jewellery, especially with regard to technical feasibility check and RPT modelling (preferably experienced in working with an RPT machine)
c) Needs to be skilled in 3d modelling for jewellery and products with a high level of detail and accuracy to translate designs from 2d to 3d
d) Needs to be good in 3d rendering software- Keyshot, Matrix, etc. to depict photo-realistic images
e) Convert selected designs using 3d software like Rhinoceros, Matrix
f) Help designers with 3-dimensional visualization on CAD for new mechanisms, settings, etc. for new product development
g) Create variations of the existing design to create a second line of the jewelry which can be used at a later date when the first lot of inventory needs to be replenished.
h) Create photo-realistic images of designs in different views to show customers
i) Give all design measurements, estimated weights and technical specifications along with CAD file in suitable format for manufacture
j) Work closely with designers for stock requirements and create variations of designs in CAD
k) Liaison with job workers wherever required to ensure accurate production of designs
