The Oils, Fats and Oleo chemicals (OFO) Division with headquarter in Brussels, Belgium designs and supplies process equipment and complete installations for oilseed preparation, solvent extraction, oil refining, fat modification, oleo chemicals and biodiesel, using proprietary process know-how and both proprietary and non-proprietary equipment.

We are looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer for our Bangalore Office

Criteria:

- ITI/Diploma only in Mechanical with minimum- 1.5 to 5 years of experience Plant Layouts & piping design of in process plants.

- Knowledge of a 3D modelling software for plant layout & pipe design is a must (preferably Autodesk Plant 3D/CadWorx will be an added advantage),

- Hands on experience in AutoCAD software is a must.

- Strong experience in routing the Indoor and outdoor piping as well as in chutes design, duct routing in a chemical / Solid handling process plants.

- Thorough knowledge of standard specifications and codes for piping (e.g. ASME, EN etc.) and of technical specifications for piping, fittings, accessories (e.g. valves, instrumentation) and assemblies.

- To work/handling the tasks with little supervision.

- Proactive with excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

- Experience in EPC companies will be an added advantage.

- Working knowledge of MS office will be an added advantage.

- Site experience in plant erection is an asset.

- Fluent in English, additional languages are an asset.

- Good Communication/ coordination skills for smooth working.

- Eager to learn Desmet Ballestra's processes and applications.

Job Description :

- Reports to the Team Leader/TM.

- Capable of doing the Plant Layout, pipe / duct routing independently with minimum instructions once the necessary information (P&IDs, Layout, Foundation, Steel, Equipment Orientation drawing) is made available.

- Assumes/drafts piping /duct routings for each process section considering all aspects of good engineering practices.

- Good experience in developing plot plan, equipment layout, piping layout & piping isometric.

- Knowledge of Pipe supports, Vendor drawing review, nozzle orientation check, bill of material.

- Hands on experience in 3D modelling of equipment, steel, piping & ducting

- Should be ready to take part in site survey as need arises.

- Completes accordingly and accurately the piping drawings & can find out the bill of material (quantities of pipes, fittings, accessories, etc.) that is required to complete the piping at site.

- Communicates internally in case clarifications are required to complete the piping drawings as per schedule.

- Contributes, in collaboration with other team members, to the development and improvement of working methods, specifications, tools, etc.
