One of our clients in Saudi Arabia, a leading chemical organization there is looking for a Chemical Procurement Manager for their Chemical trading division. As Procurement / Sourcing Manager he will be responsible for end to end sourcing operations.

Qualifications :

BSc/ MSc. in supply chain management, logistics or business administration with Chemistry background. Most importantly he must have extensive and in-depth recent chemical and raw materials procurement experience gained within a global multinational environment.

Requirements :

- Should have around 10 yrs experience out of which min. 5 yrs as a Sourcing or Procurement Manager.

- Should be an experienced leader of purchasing and materials management.

- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software if any

- Understanding of chemical market dynamics and sound business judgement

- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships, good judgement with ability to make good decisions

- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data

- Should have experience of multi-site communication with managers and corporate office.

- Proactive problem solving attitude, responsible and should have strong communication skills, command on English is a must.

Responsibilities :

- Manage the company's supply portfolio, generate and implement efficient sourcing globally.

- Monitor, understand and forecast, chemical and raw materials market trends in the global commodity marketplace and their impact.

- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure, implementing cost saving and risk reduction programs

- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency

- Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes

- Negotiation to secure profitable deals

- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

- Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques

- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers

- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries and logistics

- Must be well versed with international shipping requirement and regulations
