Responsibilities :

Objective :

- Engineering Project Group headed by Chief-Engineering is being set up within the Engineering & Projects Division to provide with Multi-disciplinary Engineering support and Knowledge Management as required for all new Greenfield as well as Brownfield projects.

Job Responsibility :

- To provide Engineering support in the area of Piping and Utilities for all new Greenfield as well as Brownfield projects

- Should have strong Knowledge of various Pipings, Utilities and off site facilities including their basic/ detailed design and related calculation for the utility system.

- Strong Domain Knowledge and past experience in similar role in steel/ metals/ mining industry.

- Ability to build and lead the team including recruitment, training and development, coordination with the stake holder and detailed engineering consultants.

- Contribute to standardization by promoting and Participating in development of discipline design criteria and standards.

- In house capability development: Identify skill gap and develop training plan for Civil/Structural engineers. Contribute towards development of team capability in design and engineering and drive a continuous development by cultivating knowledge sharing, structured training and other interactions/dissemination processes.

- Inter-disciplinary co-ordination in projects by developing IDC procedure and other cross functional practices.

- Software skills to champion development of software knowledge across the entire discipline. Thorough Knowledge of relevant engineering software like pipeflo/CAESAR etc. and their applications in various studies and engineering analysis and should have competence in managing projects using 3D plant suite and ability to conduct/participate in 3D design reviews

- Enable the organization to remain innovative by keeping abreast with industry development and explore new approaches in design and engineering.

- Promote Safety in design in line with organization standards.

- Shall promote team work and support new joinees/Jr. Engineers in project work.

- Drive value engineering exercise in projects.

Primary Skills : Project planning, Construction safety, Inspection/Product Quality check, Critical Chain concept, SAP PS System

Secondary Skills : Mineral processing, Benificiation process, Mineral and Slurry Characterstics

Education : B.Tech/B.E ( Full Time Mandatory)

Requirements :

- Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Engineering with knowledge in similar role in steel/power/process/other industries.

Technical Competencies :

- Should have strong Knowledge of various Pipings, Utilities and off site facilities including their basic/detailed design and related calculation for the utility system
