COO/Business Head for a Solar Start-up backed by an FMCG Major

Job Description : COO / Business Head

Education Qualification : Engineering degree and MBA from Premier Institutes only.

Experience :

Preferably a Supply Chain/Operations professional with Strategy and Business Development acumen with over 10-15 years of work experience.

- Strategic Planning and Execution

Job Responsibilities :

- Strategy and Business Development

- Strategic planning

- Work with senior management to develop strategic goals

- Develop a medium term business plan

- Identify opportunities for new products and value creation

Design to go market strategy :

- Strategy execution

- Translate the strategy into performance measure

- Build organization

- Supply Chain & Operations

- Transfer of technology and Productionization

- Work with the R&D team on product testing and DFM (Design for manufacturability)

- TOT (Transfer of Technology) from Israel to India

Product certifications :

- Supply chain design - make Vs. buy & vendor selection

- Develop manufacturing SOP (Standard of Procedure)

- Plant setup and licensing

- Demand & supply planning

- Works with Sales team to create forecasts

- Plan and build Capacity

Vendor management :

- Manufacturing Operations

- Implement QMS

- Production planning and control

- Cost optimization

- After Sales Service

Design and manage service network :

- Government Liaison

- Work with government agencies on Product Registrations and Certifications

- Work with government agencies on policy related issues
