Chief Operating Officer - Yarn Dyeing - Textile (22-26 yrs)
Our Leading Textile Client Company is Hiring Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Gujarat Location
Reports to Managing Director
Description :
To contribute to the growth of the company through efficient management of operations for manufacture of Premium Yarn Dyed Shirting & High fashion Printed fabric for both, domestic and export markets; ensure On Time Delivery in Full & high customer service for Customer Satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategy & Plan :
- To contribute to Strategic Planning of Textile Business
- Develop and implement operations strategy in alignment with company's goals
- Develop operations policies; setup SOPs & ensure compliance to the same
- Take necessary corrective actions to realize plans as per budget.
Customer Satisfaction :
- Ensure OTIF as committed to customer
- Ensure high Customer Service
Cost Control :
- Oversee rigorous cost control by regularly tracking estimates to complete costs; take necessary corrective actions to realize final costing as per budget
- Ensure budgeted Inventory Cost to Revenue ratio
Design :
- Drive efficiencies such as design to cost & standardization achieving faster design turnaround
Quality & Safety :
- Drive formulation and adherence to quality assurance (QA) plan; bring in industry best practices to enhance quality delivering superior product
- Ensure high efficiency in all processes including Spinning, Weaving, Processing & Printing
- Drive formulation and adherence to project safety standards
Continuous Improvement & Technology Up gradation
- To benchmark best practices & apply established methodology of continuous Improvement in Operations.
- To keep abreast of latest developments in Technology & submit proposals for Technology enhancement to ED & CEO.
Risk management :
- Develop and implement risk management policy
- Update senior management on all critical issues and risk mitigation
Stakeholder management/interactions :
- Build and maintain strong relationship with other functions
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to achieve Business goals.
- Partner with IT to design IT-enabled business solutions to enhance productivity
- Provide inputs for preparation of annual business plan
Resource Planning :
- Planning for Machines, Material, Money & Men for operations.
Organization and team management
- Disseminate company's culture and values across departments
- Coach sub-ordinates to develop capabilities horizontally and vertically
- Build a strong succession pipeline and ensure adequate manning at each level
- Plan and oversee training of team members.
- Oversee the performance management process for the reporting departments
- Ensure high motivation and morale amongst all members of operations team
MIS and reporting
- Drive management review through use of system generated MIS and dashboards.
- Chair operational review meetings to monitor progress and take corrective actions as required
- Track progress of key performance indicators and report the same to ED & CEO.
KPIs
Financial
- Ensuring compliance to budgeted operation cost to revenue ratio
- Ensuring the budgeted inventory turnaround.
Customer
- On time Delivery in Full within parameters of Quality & Cost .
- High customer service
Internal Business Processes
- Achievement of targeted efficiency in each operational process.
- Achievement of Quality targets (rejection rate) in each operational process & final product.
Learning & Development
- Strengthening the Leadership pipeline in each function.
- Implementation of SAP; all operations data to be generated through SAP

Experience & Education :
- 22+ years of experience in managing operations in an integrated textile manufacturing company engaged in manufacture of premium Yarn Dyed Shirting & high fashioned printed fabric for catering to the Exports & Domestic Markets.
- Exposure in composite mill Processes: Spinning, Weaving, Processing, Printing etc.
- Currently should be heading operations
- Post-Graduation/Graduation in Textile Engineering
- MBA preferred
