Choice Group - Highway Design Engineer (7-10 yrs)
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR HIGHWAY ENGINEER
Qualifications: BE CIVIL, MTech in transportation (7-10 years)
- Lead the project as a Lead Highway Designer.
- In depth knowledge of various IRC codes, RDSO and other codes as applicable.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MX-Road, Bentley Rail track and civil 3D or other computer based design packages.
- Coordinate and work with the Structure team
- Providing design and drafting services for roads design team for the preliminary and detail design phases of a project, horizontal, vertical alignment design, producing all types of drawings related to highways and railways and earth work quantity calculations.
- Preparing drawings & designs in accordance with our client such as plan & profile of main carriageway, service road and junction improvement layouts, Junctions and validation on site by using GPS, modify the design drawings to suite as per site conditions and evaluation of earthwork quantities, preparation of reports, etc.
- Inspecting the volume count survey, O-D survey, speed and delay survey, parking survey, Benkelman beam deflection surveys, axle load surveys, road inventory, pavement condition and sub grade investigations etc. Interpreting survey results into technical drawings.
- A deep analysis of the traffic data and the survey on the in and around areas of the proposed site.
- Good team work, revolutionary thoughts of designs and a proactive handling of projects.
- Responsible for all the highway designs of the company and its maintenance measures.
- Keep a track of EIA norms and regulations affecting the Project.
- Maintain regular communication with the client to build confidence that the work is progressing in the right direction and to keep them satisfied.
