- The company is a UN recognized organization which has participated in the 4 day Workshop on Recovery Planning for SAARC. Since 2000, our client has responded to every major disaster in India. Their work helps communities, especially women and children, bounce back better from the impact of disaster.

- Among the ongoing work on emergency response, our client is supporting reconstruction of schools and facilitating families to reconstruct homes in Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Nepal. The organization has reached about 1.8 lakhs children, covered 350+ schools and supported in reconstructing close to 5000 houses.

- As a Civil Engineer - Recovery, you will be responsible for providing professional level engineering support and technical expertise in implementing the Disaster Recovery Project and other disasters and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Preparation of BOQs

- Preparation of Bar Bending schedule

- Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan and ensuring quality of materials and construction on site

- Drawing basic structural design and construction plans and sketches by hand

- Developing cost estimates of materials, labor, and equipment needed for infrastructure repair and/or construction utilizing existing manuals

- Managing of contractor and site engineer on site

- Generating daily, weekly and monthly reports

- Reading and checking drawings sent by structural engineer

- Marking layout of a building

- Coordinating with material vendors, consultants and other agencies

- Carrying out tendering process

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering with 1-2 years of experience preferred

- Proficient in STAAD analysis and AUTOCAD

- Proficient in MS Project or similar software

- Familiarity with IS codes, particularly those that are related to RCC and load bearing structures is required

- Excellent Communication Skills

- Flexible for extensive travel to project sites Pan India
