Position: CNC Grinder General Machinist

SKILLED TRADES:Industrious and detail-oriented are a few of the qualities that you will bring with you as a highly skilled CNC Grinder.

Must have a certificate of qualification or have at least 3 years experience in areas covered by an apprenticeship within this skilled trade.

Aerospace and experience with Lean Manufacturing is an asset.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to set up and operate one or all of the following:

CNC Grinders all to close tolerances.

Machine Time: 3 years and up

- Excellent blueprint reading ability including thorough understanding ofgeometric, dimension and tolerancing.

- Fully capable of all aspects of CNC cylindrical grinding skills and practices.

- Fully capable of machine cycle and tool optimization.

Key Duties:

- Read and interpret engineering process sketches, charts and tables.

- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.

- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision CNC precision cylindrical

- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

- Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges, optical comparators, or other specialized measuring instruments.

- Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges and other measuring devices.

- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.

- Full- time, permanent position.

- Paid over time after 40 hours worked.

Wage Rate - $26.00 Canadian
