CNC Programmer cum Operator job description
A CNC Operator is a professional who sets up and maintains equipment in a process. They ensure systems run smoothly with little input from anyone else on site. CNC Operators must have an eye for detail and strong working knowledge of their machines- capabilities. In addition, they- re responsible if something goes wrong while running a processing plant.
CNC Operator Responsibilities.
1. Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, milling etc.
2. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
3. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
4. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
5. Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
6. Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
7. Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
8. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
9. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
10. Cleaning machine Lubricate grease daily on parts.
11. Should know to how to get better quality with precision dimensional measurement.
12. Good knowledge of planning for required raw material to complete given specific task.
13. Remove & segregate scrap clean machine & handover scrap to store weekly basis.
14. Maintain Daily production report.
15. Takes inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available, anticipated stock, and placing order.
16. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulation.
