Cogoport - Manager - Operations Liaisoning (3-6 yrs)
What does an Operation Liaison do?
- The Operations team at Cogoport is responsible for end-to-end execution of all shipments - from the time a booking is received till the time an empty container is returned back to the container yard. To be a part of this team, you must be deeply passionate about operations, shipments, coordination, planning, communicating, and process improvement.
- As a part of the Operations team, your focus will be on speed, accuracy and on-time delivery of all shipments.
- You should be prepared to handle a wide array of tasks - related to shipments, workflows, technology, automation and efficiency improvement. This team works in a dynamic environment and has to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Proactive communication, and working under pressure of aggressive deadlines are a part of our daily work life.
Does this sound like you?
- You are a graduate from Tier 1 colleges or a Post Graduate from Tier 1 -2 management institutes
- You possess good knowledge of container freight shipping processes or you have worked in the logistics sector, dealt with customs, shipments, ports (if not, you are willing to go the extra mile and learn very quickly)
- You are independent & confident - can work alone in an area and be able to engage with senior leaders
- You have good business acumen and strong support knowledge : understanding what is really happening and being able to accurately diagnose situations and process contingency plans
- You have been in a role which required you to coordinate with many stakeholders at one time
- You have 2-5 years of work experience in Supply Chain or Operations
- If you have completed any certification course in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Six Sigma or Kaizen, you would be on our preferred list
- Above all, you possess a can-do attitude and a continuous-improvement mindset
