Component Engineer - Electrical/Electronics (5-15 yrs)
Job Description :
- Good understanding on Electrical/Electronic components, applications & types. Need to manage Component Engineering activities independently
- Ability to understand component functionalities. Willingness guide and mentor his/her team
- Significant working experience on Electrical/Electronic components & functionalities
- Develop commodity roadmaps by conducting research on various Electrical/Electronic component categories
- Manage process to setup new parts based on design standards set for each component category, suggest alternate parts
- Work with teams to fully document the top-level product; documentation includes Bills of Material (BOMs), Assembly Drawings, cable and wiring drawings and diagrams, family trees, block diagrams and schematics
- Experience in obsolescence risk forecasting techniques for electrical/electronics components is a must
- RoHS and material content analysis for components
- Component Obsolescence Management
- Proactive obsolescence and risk management
- BOM cleansing and standardization for correctness
- Technical & business communication with customers, component manufacturers and board suppliers globally
Essential Skill set/s :
- Utilize project management methods to complete tasks, plan, coordinate activities of functional area as part of a cross-functional team project(s)
- Should be able to manage 5+ component engineers
- Should be able to handle all component engineering activities independently
- Should have excellent communication skills
- Should have working experience with global R&D teams
- Should have experience in applying risk forecasting techniques for electronics components
Qualification/s: BE, BTECH, ME, MTECH in ECE/EEE/E&I
Experience (in yrs): 5-15
