Job description :

This position is responsible for the full daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil and gas compressor equipment, including the identification of problems or potential problems; documentation and reporting; and the repair, or assist in the repair of equipment. Requires knowledge of proper emission control, and testing per state and company regulations. Responsible for overseeing BBC or third party personnel assigned to site. Requires five years related experience in oil & gas or related petrochemical industries.

Responsibilities :

- Daily repair, maintenance, trouble-shooting, preventive maintenance and start-up of natural gas compressors and natural gas engines and scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance

- Excellent diesel, mechanical and technical experience with natural gas compressors and familiar with Caterpillar/Ariel/Waukesha/Gardner Denver packages

- Supervise third party compressor technicians

- Assure all work performed adheres to BBC standards and regulatory requirements

- Must be available for after hours on-call duties as needed

- Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. - work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all seasons of the year

- Willing to attend classes which help increase compressor mechanical knowledge, or process equipment knowledge

- Identify problems or potential problems with equipment by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments

- Perform major mechanical maintenance and overhauls of equipment under minimal supervision, or supervising others

- Perform repairs at a central repair shop or at well sites.

- Follow safe operating practices and maintain a safe working environment.

- Maintain & Control Process Equipment to Compressor

- Inspection Pre-First Flow to Production Equipment

- Prepare documentation on compressor operations (e.g. daily logs, maintenance reports, compliance reports)

- Assists Lease Operators with Field Issues.

- Able to take call out when required

- Maintain a driving record set forth by BBC

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills :

- Strong mechanical ability and demonstrated ability to repair pumps, compressors, and motors.

- Willing to be trained on repairing unfamiliar equipment outside normal operating equipment

- Knowledge of processing equipment.

- Ability to read blueprints.

- Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse group.

- Basic computer skills (e.g., e-mail, Word, Excel).

- Demonstrate knowledge of safe work behavior and habits.

- Ability to lift 80 lbs. and maneuver heavy objects and operate machinery

- Proven ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines with a positive and helpful "can-do" attitude

- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work behavior and habits

- Work well with all field team members along with all office support needs

- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
