Trucks Consultant (SME) - Embedded Electronics Design and Development

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

- Should be expert in Electronics system develp,ment - PCB design, Embedded system design and Guiding the suppliers if any. 

- Co-ordination for integration of Electical systems on platforms

- Interaction with Internal Electrical Design team and other departments for Electrical system Integration-Commercial Vehicles

- Design & Development of Electronics systems for LCV,ICV MCV & HCV.

- Application & development of various Electronic Controllers 

- Various electronic controllers- BCM, Electric Vehicle controllers etc

- Preparation of system design specification for Electronic Controllers

- Interaction with Vendor development to develop proto / production component

- Full support to Proto type vehicle development.

- Testing Support for Electronics Systems.

- Validation & Homologation of Electronics Systems.

- Work in CFTs to resolve manufacturing, part quality and field issues

- Regulatory implementation.

- Value Engineering & Cost Reduction

Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job:

- Handson on Embedded system design - Hardware, Software, and Integration of both.

- Knowledge of All Electrical Systems and other vehicle systems

- Knowledge of Electrical Systems integration

- Should have good knowledge of all vehicle systems especially Controllers like BCM, Electric vehicle controllers etc.

- Should be well versed in the product development process based on APQP ( Advanced Product Quality Planning )

- Knowledge/exposure to Wireless communication protocols like LIN / CAN, diagnostic tool knowledge will added advantage

- Working knowledge of System Design Specification, DFMEA, and Design Validation Process

- Knowledge of Catia for packaging of E&E components

- Working knowledge of Engineering Change Notice process

- Knowledge of troubleshooting tools - 8D/Fishbone/ Why Why

- Knowledge of Benchmarking and Automotive standard
